fare price for such an expensive city. need to take the light rail system to get to city center but the light rail station is just around the corner from the hotel and no need to switch the train to get to city center and the main train station – only a 10-minute ride. the hotel is old and small so don’t expect a 1st class luxury treatment.

the wireless network was not working. and they were asking for 5 euro to use the desktop machine in the lobby.

room too little. forbidden to smoke but i had ask for a smoking room. no possibility to open wide the window. breakfast cheap and with no taste. decoration with no charm.

staff was very polite and helpful, location for where we needed to be in amsterdam was perfect away from city centre a bit which also made for less noise at night. conveniently located on tram 2 if public transport to city centre is important. highly recommend! will definitely stay there again on next trip to amsterdam!!!

in evenings, being away from city centre means having to go in toward city for meals. there are a few neighbourhood bars in the area however.

arrived at hotel. had to pay 40 euros for taxi only to find they had no room for us. so they had to send us to another hotel. very poor sevice. they could of atleast paid for our bus fair to the sister hotel but didnt. there was no previous contact to explain to us there was not a room for us. had to find the sister hotel by ourselves. very poor service!

its location in a very residential area and proximity to a tram line

1 - the big surprise was no "no lift" which is a problem when you have to carry heavy cases up to the second floor. 2 - basic bathroom facilities and service: we had to ask for a bath mat. that can be improved. 3 - the door passes are made of cheap plastic (kind of thick carboard) that easily breaks in pockets and therefore must be replaced at the visitors expense for 20 euros: i am convinced this a common feature and the whole set of passes is therefore renewed regularly by the customers. they should be informed to be very careful about that fragile item.
