Central Station

Central Station is the hub of Amsterdam - a meeting point for some and a departure point for many. Trams, trains, buses and subways make for a true hive of activity at Stationsplein 1, located on the South bank of the IJ. Buy your tickets for the sneltrein, stoptrein or TGV in and around Holland and other major European cities at one of the NS (National Spoorwagen) counters or machines.

Central Station is the perfect vantage point from which to catch a ferry connecting the city to Amsterdam Noord, across the t’IJ. Ferries are free and you can board one just behind the station. Furthermore, all the top attractions and main districts are within easy reach whether by foot or tram, the cheapest ways of getting around Amsterdam.

For visitors to Amsterdam, it is worthwhile noting that trams run until midnight, the last one leaving at 12:15. After the last tram, there is an hourly service of night buses.

the location of the hotel was excellent and made it easy to get about everywhere and everthing was walkable . also the friendlyness of all the staff. we very much enjoyed our stay (this was our second time )

the only less positive thing is that there are no tea/coffee makiong facilities in the room

het hotel is voor wat je betaald super goed. het was schoon en de locatie is op zich wel goed.

we vonden het jammer dat onze 4 kamers niet naast elkaar waren. en het lawaai om het hotel om sochtends 8 uur, van het verbouwen er achter was echt waardeloos, maar daar kon het hotel ook niks aan doen.

5 min to go to the central station and in city, nice bar,

rooms on the sunny (south) side of the boat get really hot, you can only leave the door open for fresh air coming in by the window! in the night its really loud with open windows, because there is in front of the hotel the way. rooms and bath room very small!

location near the train/bus station and city center. really good breakfast in a nice restaurant-type area. clean. desk clerks were very helpful.

old boat hotel with small rooms(cabins) and really small bathrooms. other guests congregated by the front door drinking beer all day long.
