In 2004, Banks Mansion opened its doors in a stately former bank building on the Herengracht Canal. This very special luxury hotel caters to business as well as tourist travellers who like to enjoy the good things in life. It is situated at one of the best locations of the city: alongside one of the loveliest canals in Amsterdam, where it intersects the Vijzelstraat. Here you'll find yourself in the heart of the city - surrounded by art, design, culture and a range of culinary attractions.

All our guests agree on one thing: Banks Mansion is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Some call it retro and others Art Deco. We are just content to say that it has a very special and very cosy ambience. The Amsterdam School and the famous architects Berlage and Frank Lloyd Wright inspired us, and we look forward to hearing your comments.

'The Living', as the lounge is called, serves as a quiet retreat during your adventures in Amsterdam. Here you can sink back and relax in the luxurious armchairs for as long as you wish while enjoying the drinks and snacks which are 'on the house' and waiting for you at the royally furnished bar. As our guest, we are sure you will quickly feel at home.

Every morning, we invite you to a luxurious breakfast in our 'Kitchen', where everything is prepared a la minute and served from our open kitchen. You may not want to miss even one of these occasions, as it is not only healthy but also included in the price.

With only 51 first-class luxuriously appointed rooms, Banks Mansion can offer you old-fashioned individual hospitality.

The rooms, furnished in the style of the Berlage and Amsterdam schools of architecture, will be a pleasant surprise. Leaded glass elements contribute to a warm, colourful and cosy atmosphere.

In addition to the regular 4-star facilities, you will also have your own personal private bar, a DVD player, an LCD TV, air-conditioning and wireless Internet.

The bathrooms are actually relaxation areas and offer you various facilities such as a 'Rain Shower'. In addition, some rooms have their own steam room or full-length bathtub.

Since our primary focus is to make sure that our guests feel at home in Banks Mansion and are able to enjoy all the pleasures of 'home', we have launched the ‘Back Home’ initiative.

Practically all the facilities in the hotel are therefore included in the price: use of the private bar in the guest room as well as drinks and snacks in the Living, unlimited Internet in the business corner and the first 50 minutes wi-fi on the room, unlimited use of all TV and video channels, breakfast etc.
