Vondelpark

The Vondelpark is an English-style park with ponds, lawns, thickets and winding footpaths was laid out in the 1860s and 1870s for the bourgeoisie. It was named after the poet and playwright Joost van Den Vondel (1587-1679), the Shakespeare of the Netherlands.

its very near from the leidseplein (only 5min walking) and its not noisy in the hotel.

the manager is very friendly, but the rest of the staff doesnt say something to us. the rooms are small and not very clean.. (its not dirty, but you think, thats not so clean...)

kleine kamers - voor de prijs kan er een beter ontbijt gegeven worden (het was meer een hostel- geen eigen tafels??) - douche was verstopt en veel geluidsoverlast van het verkeer van buiten

the towels were not always clean and were often really old with lots of holes in. also, the bathrooms should be sorted out so they have proper showers and floors that do not sink.

lobation was very covenient reception staff was helpful

room was vwey clean when i arrived...no housekeeping during lenght of stay. linen is rather old, with cigarette holes, no hot water on 23 april, breakfast very limited in both amount and variety.
