• this must be the nicest small hotel in amsterdam. its in a good location next to the concertgebouw so a 10 min tram ride from the centre. bus from the airport stops virtually outside. its decorated in the art deco style of the building so may not be to everyones taste but the single rooms are small but comfy and most importantly...quiet! staff are very welcoming and the breakfast although extra is good and fresh and there is a good selection.


• room 7 is a bit small as you have to negotiate round the chair at the desk to get to the bathroom. simply solved - move the chair!

• it was in a nice location, very close to museumplein and easy to get everywhere. the hotel itself is on a nice quiet street. very generous and gracious host!

• although stay here for 2 nights was very pleasant, central and quiet i would have to say that of our 5 weeks travelling throught uk and europe this was the worst value for money considering we were in central city locations also in ohter cities - this turned out to be very expensive for what it was on the scale of 8 other cities we stayed in.

• norman and his colleagues are friendliest and sweetest people. location is also very good, museums are just 5 min walk, as well as supermarket. leidesplein with a lot of cafes and shops is also in walking distance.

• the staff and the location were both superb, i had returned to holland for the first time in 30 years and norman the owner made sure we were able to visit family on christmas day by offering us his car!!!!! what service we really felt part of his family

• the staff was very friendly and helpfull - the hotel is centrally located for those interested in the main art musems such as the van gogh museum (a must see) - a very quiet (hotel) environment - after a long day of sightseeing a quiet night of sleep was greatly appreciated
