• this is the third time that we have stayed at the hotel imperial and have always found it an enjoyable stay and cannot fault it in any way, every time we come to amsterdam it is the first hotel we try to book because we haven't found another to compare to its high standards, it is hard to believe that it is only a two star rating.

• we were made to wait a long time for the room to be ready. when we were unhappy at the view of a brick wall we had the staff were less than helpful and uncaring. the shower was chipped and unsafe and the breakfast was stale.
