Van Gogh Museum

Hotel Linda is situated near the Van Gogh Museum. A visit to the Van Gogh Museum is a unique experience. There is no other place in the world where you can see so many of Vincent van Gogh's paintings under one roof. The Museum is situated on the Museumplein in Amsterdam, between the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum. The Museum's collection is in three parts.

the location is good. not far from the center, and at the same time quiet..

nothing was done for a family of five booking two rooms in the same hotel. one room was on the second floor, the other one on the fourth...!!! and nobody had told us. by the way, four floor and no lift, for around 300eur for one night for 5 persons...

there is no elevator and it is almost impossible to climb the steep stairs with bags. the room is very small if compared to the rent.

there was a parking place for our car.

the room was very smal. but the main problem was, it was not possible to open the windows, so we didnt get fresh air. on the website they wrote, its a quiet place. thats not really true.

the location was not close to the train station compared to others and should not be advertised as such. the first room we were given was awful, dark, dank and smelled to cigarettes. when we compained we were initially told nothing else was available. when we asked for a refund, we were then shown another room, which we accepted, mostly because they werent going to give us the refund. weve stayed in better hostel, which is what this was effectively, not a hotel.

the staff is worse ive ever seen. we stayed there for 2 nights, they dont even bother cleaning the room. there are not enough glasses in the room to drink water, no jug, no coffee or tea. there was a table fan which was broken. how sad is this hotel?

i had my parents with me who ar 65yrs of age and the hotel did not have lift. it was so difficult to get to 4th floor with luggage.
