Van Gogh Museum

Staying at Hotel Monopole and a A visit to the Van Gogh Museum is an unique experience. The museum contains the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh in the world. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist's developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. The museum also holds an extensive offer of exhibitions on various subjects from 19th century art history. The Van Gogh Museum is within easy reach of the Museumplein in Amsterdam, between the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum.The museum entrance is at the Paulus Potterstraat 7. It can be reached by tram numbers 2 and 5 from the Central Station and by tram numbers 3 and 12 (crossroad Paulus Potterstraat-Van Baerlestraat). The museum is also accessible for disabled visitors. All floors can be reached via lift; wheelchairs and pushchairs are available free of charge.

Hotel Monopole is a clean, fine hotel with a perfect location in Amsterdam.Our hotel has clean and pleasant rooms, all with a T.V. Most of the rooms have an en-suite bathroom. The rooms without shower are cheaper. You share the shower with only one other room. The shower is just outside the room. We serve a continental breakfast in your room.

We are located centrally, close to the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum (museum of Modern Art), Van Gogh Museum and the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam's famous concert hall). With just a short walk into the centre of the city, we are easily accessible by car and public transport.
You will find us friendly and happy to help with information about the city and it's many attractions. There is much to do and see in the Netherlands as well as in Amsterdam, and excursions can be easily arranged. We will do our very best to ensure that your stay in Amsterdam, and our hotel, is a pleasant experience.
