Vondelpark
About 2 km long and 300 m wide, the park is a Mecca for families with kids, couples in love, street musicians, joggers, inline skaters, in short: anybody who enjoys lush green surroundings.
From June to August free concerts are held in its open air theatre and there are always musicians performing throughout the park. The functionalist Round Blue Teahouse (1936) serves coffee with wonderful cake. A stand near the Amstelveenseweg entrance at the south western end of the park rents inline skates and gloves.

- perfect location on a very quiet and nice street and very close to leidsplein which is fabulous for everyone who travels to amsterdam in leisure. rooms very clean and big enough. good breakfast.
- the endless winding stairs. there is no elevator (which is understanding once it is an old amsterdam house) and it was very difficult to bring the suitcases upstairs.

- location, surrounded by more expensive hotels. quiet, large room, comfortable bed, ok bathroom with enormous bath - great. nice quiet breakfast room
- very faded and badly in need of restoration and development. cold (april) - the central heating was not on and the electric fan heater was only marginally effective. in need of thorough clean and daily dusting and polishing. tea and coffee making facilities not provided in rooms - a simple thing to remedy.
