The Vondelpark is an English-style park with ponds, lawns, thickets and winding footpaths was laid out in the 1860s and 1870s for the bourgeoisie. It was named after the poet and playwright Joost van Den Vondel (1587-1679), the Shakespeare of the Netherlands.

About 2 km long and 300 m wide, the park is a Mecca for families with kids, couples in love, street musicians, joggers, inline skaters, in short: anybody who enjoys lush green surroundings.

From June to August free concerts are held in its open air theatre and there are always musicians performing throughout the park. The functionalist Round Blue Teahouse (1936) serves coffee with wonderful cake. A stand near the Amstelveenseweg entrance at the south western end of the park rents inline skates and gloves.

The single room is suitable for one person. It has a wider than average and 2 meter long single bed .Facilities include cable TV and radio, telephone, hairdryer and of course private shower and WC.

The double room has either one double bed or two separate twin beds, 2 metres long. All the rooms have minibar, cable TV and radio, hairdryer, fan, heating and of course a private bathroom. The double or twin room also has a working desk. Baby cot is available for an additional € 7,50 per night.

Apartment

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge 48 hours before the arrival date. Cancellations received within the 48 hour period will be charged to the value of the first night.
