• ik vond de plek en de ruimte in de kamer erg prettig. het was fijn om na een dag druk statten in een rustigere buurt te overnachten


• het was erg gehorig. de bovenburen leken voortdurend in beweging!? de ventilator bleef draaien op de badkamer en maakte best wat lawaai. op het eerste oog leek het best allemaal schoon, maar echt schoon was het niet.

• the location was excellent, the breakfast was excellent and the service and staff were terrific.


• the room was extremely small. perhaps this is standard for rooms in amsterdam but, for the price, it was below my expectations. also, the mattress was very soft. the staff did place boards under the mattress, to firm it up, but it was not as comfortable as i would have expected.

• great location outside city centre,so less noise from pubs etc:easy tram ride into centre via all the attractions and only costs 1.60 on the tram from right outside hotel free internet access also available in hotel nice buffet breakfast


• hotel emailed me direct and offered to upgrade room to double rooms at rear as i asked for 2 singles at rear,but they are all at front i took them up on the offer,but when we arrived one room was at front and one at rear.also the local tax of 5% is not clear enough on website for those that have not traveled before.rooms worked out over budget as i did not know it would be 5% on top of each room

• there was one staff member in particular that i felt was condescending and rude (but for the most part the staff members were very helpful so i do not wish this remark to reflect on all staff members); the main light switch in our room would not stay on (although all other light switches were fine); staff could not provide me with a clear indication of how much it would cost to make a local phone call from my room - these are the less positives about the hotel but i must emphasize that we enjoyed our stay very much and would not hestitate to stay at hotel zandbergen again.
