Information about Rho Hotel

The 3-star Rho hotel opened it's doors in April 1989. It is located in a quiet street, just a few steps away from the famous DAM square, in the very center of Amsterdam. The building was once used by an old Amsterdam gold trading company. The beautiful reception and lobby were once a theater, built in 1908 in Art-Deco style. The Rho Hotel is a non smoking hotel.

The RHO HOTEL is located in the heart of the old city in a quiet side street, a few steps from the historic DAM square, the central square of Amsterdam, with the Royal Palace and the New Church. The Central Station is about 5 min. walking distance, shopping and night life is, although it's quiet location, all around the hotel. You find the best department stores, the unique MAGNA PLAZA shopping mall, and the long pedestrian shopping street "Kalverstraat" at walking distance. Excursions by bus or by boat are leaving from around the corner. Around the hotel are the canals with their historic houses.
The rooms are modern and comfortable. All rooms have private facilities en-suite (shower or bath and toilet), hair-dryer, TV (satellite, 15 channels: NBC, CNN, Euro-Sport etc.), direct dial telephone, safe (free of charge) and fan. The rooms have a fridge. You can buy drinks at the vending machine in the lobby .All rooms are non smoking - The hotel has 3 elevators.
- Rates are always included breakfast. This is a buffet style breakfast with various choises. Breakfast is served from 7.00 to 10.30 AM.
- The check-out time is 11.00 AM. After this you can store your luggage in the hotel free of charge.
- Check-in is 2.00 PM. Should you arrive earlier, then you can store your luggage in the hotel. If we have a room available for you before 2 PM, you can check in right away.
- The hotel has a bar, open from 4.00-11.30 PM.
- The hotel reception is open 24 hours.
- Bicycles can be rented in the hotel.
- We accept for payment AMEX, VISA, EURO/MASTER/ACCES credit cards. SWITCH cards or PIN cards are NOT accepted for payment or guarantee.
- The hotel has it's own parking garage for your car. Little vans up to 2 m. high and motor bikes can be parked here also. Parking is not included in the room rate, for cars you pay € 25.00 per day, for motor bykes € 12.50 per day. Bicycle parking is free.

Your credit card details are required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment will be made exclusively to the hotel. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 1 day(s) before your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.) Any booking not taken up and not cancelled 1 day(s) before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to the price of the first night. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings. The hotel will contact you within 24 hrs. if this is the case.We will not charge your credit card, only use it for guarantee. Within one week of your arrival we will authorise your card for the amount of one night. If we do not get an authorisation code, we will try to inform you, since your booking is no longer guaranteed in that case. Make sure your credit card details are correct and up to date.!!!!
