De Dam

De Flower Power periode, de jaren 60 in Nederland werd gesymboliseerd door de beruchte Damslapers, een groep hippies die kampeerde op Dam plein. Tegenwoordig heeft het plein de vroegere "easygoing charm" verloren, maar het is nog steeds een van de ontmoetingspunten van de stad. Niet toevallig, dat de Dam het centrum is van de stad. De Dam was gebouwd om de Zuiderzee buiten te houden. In het midden van het plein staat het Nationaal Monument, opgedragen aan alle slachtoffers van oorlogsgeweld in de hele wereld. Aan de westkant van het plein staat het Koninklijk Paleis.

gute zentrale lage und dennoch ruhig, freundliches hilfsbereites personal, zimmerwechsel (verrauchtes zimmer) war kein problem, zimmer konnte sofort bei ankunft um 12:00 uhr bezogen werden, gutes frühstück

zimmerwechsel war notwendig, da das zimmer stark nach zigarettenqualm roch, erstes zimmer war sehr klein und dunkel

smelly, dark room, perpetually flooding shower that spilled out onto the carpet of the main room, no "do not disturb" sign. but most important, unbelievably rude housekeeping staff! i have never seen anything like that in my life. i will not return to this hotel.

well cleaned up. good location as close to the centrum and also quiet place.

did not receive any help at my arrival to find a solution as my credit card was not working. receptionist feels like shocked because i had not any cash money on me to pay for my stay. so, i told that i had to go home and she answered yes.
