• its hard to update an old and narrow amsterdam building in order to become a modern and comfortable hotel. at least they try.

• het water van de douche bleef in de douchecel staan, het liep niet weg. als je dan met 4 personen moet douchen is dat niet hygienisch, je staat in het vuil van de ander.

• very friendly staff. they were very zealous about all. and they are a very pet friendly hotel. we had the best room for our dog: with garden access!!!


• a bit noisy - but its no fault of the hotel but rather a fault of guests :-)

• great location - right on the tram 25 line (which runs to central sation), close to the rijk and van gogh museums (10-minute walk), and quiet at night. the staff are wonderful!


• just be aware of the steps - no elevator. however, most hotels in amsterdam do not have elevators and steps are often steep. it just adds to the charm!

• demand for payment on arrival. and if you were to use credit card, you were charged additional fees... which we were not told about. definately over priced for facilities and service.

• hotel is direct aan een wandelpark in een rustige, gezellige buurt maar toch niet ver van het stadcentrum, tramhalte dichtbij het hotel, tal van leuke restaurantjes in de buurt. pluspunt is ook gratis wifi aansluiting.


• soms te weinig zitruimte voor het ontbijt, maar de kwaliteit van het ontbijt is dan weer goed.
