The museum has over 11,000 works of art, ceremonial items and historical objects. Only five percent of these are on permanent display. The rest are stored in the depot and occasionally shown in exhibitions, or lent to other museums.

- jammer dat de keuken net verbouwd werd toen we er aan kwamen en dat dat niet vermeld werd op de site we kregen wel 10 euro korting per nacht maar probeer maar voor tien euro een fatsoenlijk ontbijt in amsterdam te krijgen voor dat bedrag,

- the offered hotel room was totally unacceptable; dirty, very small - basically a bed with four walls around it. we therefore cancelled the reservation on site and moved to another hotel
