• no private toilet (but i new in advance).

• location (close to everything but still quiet), value for money. staff was nice (only met them during check in and check out though).


• towels and tissues had quite a few stainmarks on them. the room was quite hot and the ventillation fan was too loud for sleeping. they took the handles off the windows for some reason, had to force them open with a piece of metal.

• cramped, dirty. drinking tap water made me sick (but after that i havent tried any other tap water in amsterdam so it may not be the hotels fault).

• quiet, safe, comfortable. nice touches like an instant hot water heater in our room and instant coffee for the morning (although they never refilled for the other days). next to a canal, really pretty.


• crazy steep stairs, not for the faint of heart! the front door didnt close so security could be a problem. our sink gurgled a lot from some sort of drainage issue
