• some noice from the hall/ next door rooms, the shower had no pressure and one of the rooms didnt get housekeeping the entire stay(we left the room before 12 every day). missed the minibar.

• the room was not very clean. the washbasin was rather uncomfortable. the furniture was rather shabby.

• the shower door would not shut and therefore made the bathroom floor slippy. also ther was only plastic cups to make tea or coffee

• you can hear stamp from above room or telephone ringing from neighbour rooms. fortunatelly we had room 224 with window to the yard so we did not hear any noise from the street.

• filthy carpet and curtains, refused to take off my shoes or touch the curtains. room next door played loud music at 5am, which the paper thin walls had no effect on, on a wed night. they then ordered a prostitute, made a racket, ordered two more (we know, because we could hear their conversations through the walls) which the front desk happily sent up, so they could make even more noise, only 20 minutes after we complained at the desk downstairs in person. poor judgement on his part. what is it like on the weekend then? very, very soft beds.... complained on check out about all this and got a shrug and thats amsterdam for an excuse.

• needs overall maintenance. dirty walls in the room, towels were full of holes, carpet full of stains, sheets had holes in them, faulty lightning and the worlds slowest elevator.

• 3 youths in room next door, being noisy, banging doors at 1.00 and 2.00 in the morning, playing music very loud at 15.00. we complained, which helped, but did not stop it. would move next time, otherwise no complaints.

• location is the deciding factor for me since i travel independently. i want to walk around safely carrying my luggage and not worry at any time about the street environment.


• my room overlooked a dance club that is very loud. many of the rooms do not have this problem, but some rooms are very noisy.

• room along the street was very noisy, late into the night on our first stay. for our second stay we requested a quiet room near the rear and it was better. we had to request a sheet under the duvet twice, then we had to get it ourselves from the front desk. rooms were not thoroughly cleaned each day.
