Het Loo Palace

The house is on the grounds of Het Loo Palace, after which it is named. Prince William III had it built in 1685. It was used by the royal family for centuries, serving for a time as Queen Wilhelmina’s summer home. Princess Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven lived in one wing of the Palace after marrying in 1967.
