Bruges

Bruges (called Brugge by its native Dutch language name which assumedly used to signify landing stage or port is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is one of Europe's most important landmarks as the city centre has hardly changed since the Middle Ages.
Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact. There are many beautiful medieval buildings, including the Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk (Church of Our Lady), whose brick spire - at 122m - is Europe's highest brick tower/building.
Bruges is also famous for its 13th-century Belfort, housing a municipal Carillon comprising 47 bells. The city still employs a full-time bell ringer, Aimé Lombaért, who puts on regular free concerts.
Other famous buildings in Bruges include the Beguinage, the Heilig Bloed Basiliek (the Basilica of the Holy Blood), the modern Concert Hall and the St-John Hospital. The historic centre of Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.
Bruges also has a very fine collection of medieval and early modern art, including the world-famous collection of Flemish Primitives. Various masters, such as Hans Memling and Jan van Eyck, lived and worked in Bruges.

excellent accueil en francais ! excellent service au petit déjeuner. dame tres serviable et en tres bon français toujours.

bac à douche tres glissant, donc tres dangereux et cest dommage car par elle-meme elle est excellente. jai glissé et suis tombé, heureusement sans conséquence, ai palié le probleme en mettant sur serviette de toilette au fond du bac .

information given about requested parking space was inadequate and led to a misunderstanding. ie, they did not tell me that there were no reserved space left, but just that info was at the check in, i interpreted that as them telling me where to find my space, they considered it as saying we dont have any reserved spaces left for you. i ended up lucky and being able to park close to the hotel. the hotel does not accept credit cards for value below 100 euro. i do not normally carry much in the way of cash. and i find it unacceptable that any hotel will not accept credit cards for staying only one night. no internet access in the rooms.
