There is a great deal to discover in the garden of the Tovenaarsberg. For instance, you will come across an elf circle and from the garden you can go for a walk along the Magic Path and become acquainted with the attractive area around the hamlet of Den Hool.
The outdoor trolls have also marked out the Astrologer’s Route for you. This is an enchanting cycle route through the countryside of Drenthe. The surrounding area offers many more opportunities for cycling and walking, for example past the Megalithic Tombs. There are museums and entertainment amenities and the Noorder Animal Park in Emmen (14 km). South of Emmen is the Grote Rietplas, a recreational lake where you can swim, surf and sail.
