Den Ham.
Set behind a wide moat and hidden among tree-lined waterways, the castle rises high above the flat land around Den Ham. The castle is located in the Westerkwartier, not far from the Reitdiep canal. This beautiful and oldest man-made landscape in Europe is ideal for cycling, walking and horseback riding. Piloersemaborg stables horses and you are welcome to bring your own horse. Golfers will enjoy playing the 18-hole course in Glimmen, and the delightful student city of Groningen can be reached in 15 minutes by car.

Restaurant Schathoes Verhildersum:
Our 1star(Michelin) restaurant is located in the monumental farm Verhildersum at Leens, which is situates near woods in Groningen. This is an ideal place to go to after a busy day. Enjoy all the nice dishes that are served from the french, Italian cuisine.
The chef , Mr. Dick Soek gets the ingredients from the region. The menu's are all from the season.

Piloersema is a unique historical monument in the Groninger Ommelanden region, where you can enjoy the Dutch hospitality.

This unique historic monument dating back to 1633 is situated in the Groninger Ommelanden region and still reflects the lifestyle of the Ommelander noblemen from that era. In 1700, the Bos family expanded the manor house with a large barn and since then ‘Piloersema’ has been a farm. It is the only castle farm remaining in the province of Groningen and has been designated part of Groningen’s cultural-historical heritage.
