The area Doenrade is situated in has enough ectivities to offer for a well balanced stay. In the village of Schinnen, about 3.5 km away, you can have wonderful strolls and you can pay a visit to Castle Terborg or Mulderplas, a fishing area. Also it's worth visiting Sittard, approximately 8 km away. This is one of the oldest villages of the Netherlands, where the center, the cafes and the heated terraces ensure you of having a good time. This is a very nice place for shopping. All in all there is enough to do in the surroundings of Doenrade.
