Egmond aan Zee
The endless sand beach from IJmuiden till Cadzand with 29 miles of dunes is the longest recreational dune territory of the Netherlands. From Egmond its lovely to make beach-/dune walks and bicycle journeys with on regular distance the pleasant beach pavilions and restaurants. On the beach, beds and wind screens are for rent. The boulevard has been renovated completely, with beautiful banks and lighting and by day and the evenings a salutary place to stay.
Food and drinks, The whole summer the beach pavilions stand on the beach where you can eat delightfully overlooking the sea. In the town are many (fish-)restaurants, terraces and cafes.
Shopping, Through the perseverance of the Egmonders at "their Egmond", the authentic characterization of Egmond has been remained complete with its fisheries past, including the utmost pleasant shopping street. If you seek a larger shopping territory Alkmaar is the place to be.
Attractions, On this website you find under attractions the events calendar and a grip from an inexhaustible quantity possibilities to do. For instance the tulip fields till the world-famous cheese market in Alkmaar and the 17 museums in the head of North Holland.
