We are located in a 16th century canal house in the historical & medieval part of the city centre, exactly where the late Middle Age city wall was built in 1488. The Geldersekade canal runs between 2 former city gates; De Schreyerstoren (Weeping Tower, Amsterdam’s oldest monument dating from 1487) and De Waag (1488, Weigh House). Amsterdam Central Station is literally ‘around the corner’. The Nieuwmarkt area attracts both visitors and locals alike and it represents the best of both worlds. Behind Nieuwmarkt is China town and the red light district.
