Joops Hotel is situated in the pedestrian zone of the historic centre of Haarlem. The city of Haarlem is known for its historical façades and courtyards. The Frans Hals Museum, the Corry ten Boom Musuem and the Teylers Museum (the oldest museum in the country) are all at a stone’s throw from the hotel.

If shopping is your thing, Haarlem is also a great destination. Haarlem has often been voted as the best shopping city in the Netherlands and you will be able to spend as much or as little as you like in all the different shops and antique shops. The shops are a good combination with a nice lunch or drink on one of the terraces.

Haarlem is also the perfect starting location for many different excursions: Amsterdam (where you can shop even on Sundays), the beaches of Bloemendaal, Zandvoort (beaches, circuit, casino), the flowers of the Keukenhof in Lisse (opened from March until May) and National Park De Kennemerduinen where you can hike and bike (bike rental in the close vicinity of the hotel).

It is also nice to visit the annually organised events like the flower parade, Dance Valley, Haarlem Culinair and Haarlem Jazz.

     Centrale en toch rustige ligging

     The staff was very friendly. The hotel was in a very convient location to the center of the old town, the train station and to the car parking. The hotel was clean and the rooms were quite large for Europe.
     The furnishings were outdated. The carpet was worn and stained. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. The shower had no door or curtain and therefore the whole bathroom floor got wet. The WiFi didn't work. The beds were extremely firm.

     Relatief goedkoop kamers schoon
     Het geheel is oud en dat is te zien niettemin: prijs/kwaliteit is prima !

     Boren op de benedenverdiep startte om acht uur \'s morgens. Brandalarm om 01.40 \"ging af omdat iemand douchte met de badkamerdeur open....\"

     Keurige ontvangst, zorgzaam mar niet overdone.
     Wij sliepen aan de achterkant op de tweede verdieping en het raam kon niet open want daar stond de airco of luchtbehandeling vlak nder te razen. Met raam dicht geen probleem trouwens.

     Goede locatie, veel privacy door aparte ingang, prima prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding.

     Fast point of travel between Nigeria and EU/USA.
     Accessibility to hotel by car, not to be blamed. Good policy of the Gemeente Haarlem.

     Vriendelijk, attentive; veel ruimte; ideale locatie.
     Keuken kan meer spullen onthouden; handdoeken moeten niet elke dag worden gewisseld.

     Zeer ruime kamers + bdk, heel centraal gelegen, mochten verhuizen naar kamer aan de achterkant, waar het muisstil was.
     Ligt in de uitgangsbuurt en langs de voorzijde is er door de enkele beglazing veel last van straatlawaai.

     Appartments are is excelent location in centre of Haarlem. All is handy close by
