The hotel “De Kroon” is located in De Markt (Market Square) in the heart of the old fortress town. De Markt is surrounded by old traditional Dutch buildings including the beautiful old town hall which houses a tourist bureau. There is also a café, some shops and a recently renovated reformed church surrounding De Markt. The high street, Zandstraat, joins De Markt. Is there a guest who plays piano, then the piano goes outside ! De Markt is also the start and finish of the Pieter Pad-route which is a part of a walking holiday route from town to town. De Kroon is an ideal location to rest and spend the night.

Gennep is part of the National Park “de Maasduinen”. This area is perfect for a walking or a cycling holiday especially since the creation of a network of cycling routes. These routes go through the most beautiful countryside. They are well signposted and easy to follow. When the weather is nice you can enjoy a drink outside on the terrace overlooking De Markt. The hotel’s 12 bedrooms have been renovated in a classic English style. Every room has a luxury bathroom with a bath and / or a shower. All the rooms have a telephone, a television and Internet access. The rooms at the front of the hotel overlook the beautiful historic market square.
