• het personeel was super, de kamer was super mooi en schoon. het was gewoon perfect!!!


• we hadden geboekt voor de intercity hotel maar werden naar een hotel gestuurd aan de over kant, het hoorde blijkbaar wel bij elkaar maar vond dit een beetje raar. dat hotel was wel super zelfs 20 euro minder hoeven te betalen en we kregen zelfs ontbijt op de kamer voor niks, terwijl dit helemaal niet geboekt hadden, super!!!! de bedden waren een twijfelaar dus dat was wel wat minder.

• very near the station, free fast and reliable wireless internet access, quite good selection of free tv channels (four in english and a useful ghent channel), decent-sized room. personally we appreciated the location being so near the station as it meant very little distance to take our luggage. youll almost certainly want to take a tram into town from here though as its a long walk - not a problem as a ten-trip ticket is only €8 at time of writing (july 2008).


• lots of biting flying insects in our room the first couple of nights, keeping us awake and/or biting us while we slept. but as soon as we told them about this they supplied an insect repellant device which worked brilliantly and kept them away for the rest of our stay - make sure you ask for one at the first sign of insects and itll be fine! the large bath was ok (if you had half an hour to wait for it to fill ;-) ) but the shower head was not fixed high up so you couldnt have a stand-up shower. they also had a rather strange approach to making the bed, supplying for a double bed two single quilts folded up sideways! i suppose it prevented the stealing of the covers while asleep! the only downside of the location was that you couldnt really pop back to the hotel during the day for anything without using up tram journeys, although i suppose the fact that one trip lets you use as many trams as you like in an hour would mean if you were just calling in at the hotel for a short time youd only use one trip to get both there and back. didnt think of that at the time!

• het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. daarnaast was het hotel trianon (dependance van intercity) super schoon en werd de kamer ook dagelijks zeer schoon gehouden. daarnaast kon je zelf bepalen hoe laat je het ontbijt wilde nuttigen.


• helaas was bij boeking van het intercity hotel niet duidelijk dat de gereserveerde kamer in het naast gelegen hotel trianon (dependance) was. hier was geen mogelijkheid om het ontbijt te gebruiken in een eetkamer, maar werd op de kamer gebracht.
