A day out in Nijmegen

Nijmegen, the oldest town in the Netherlands, used to be home to the Romans and Emperor Charlemagne, whose castle was here in the imperial town by the river Waal. Colourful, bright, open, lively, bubbling and with a pleasant atmosphere - these have been its characteristics for centuries, making it a town very different from any other in this country.

It has small, cosy shops with a pleasant atmosphere only known to the locals, as well as a new shopping street called Marikenstraat. Lange Hezelstraat, on the other hand, is the oldest shopping street in the Netherlands. You can also go for a walk in the lower town where you will find numerous small curiosity shops. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 3 day(s) before your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.) Any booking not taken up and not cancelled 3 day(s) before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to the price of the first night. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings. The hotel will contact you within 24 hrs. if this is the case.
Bookings made later than 20:00 hours will Not be accepted, due to the fact that our reception is closed from that time on.
