Groningen is the cultural capital of the north with its 'Groninger Museum', cultural centre 'De Oosterpoort' and the theatre 'Stadsschouwburg Groningen'. The charming towncentre offers interesting sites such as the 'd'Olle Grieze' (the Martini tower) and the 'Goudkantoor'. Modern architecture mixes with historical buildings.
