Slenaken is a village in the town Gulpen-Wittem in the south of Limburg, close to the border with Belgium. It is situated in a valley which flows through the Gulpen, to the north towards the Loorberg Epen and on the south side of the border, and the Belgian town Teuven.
Because the village is located in the Heuvelland, Slenaken is a popular place for tourists. The Mergellandroute which passes through Slenaken and the village, is conveniently located for a nice walk or bike ride. There are also several marked trails. One is the Krijtlandpad.
