The nature surrounding Hengevelde, with its forests, farms and castles with beautifull gardens will invite you to go hiking or make an impressive cycle-ride.
The 5 star route.
It is put out in the Hof van Twente and will take you by everything that the area has to offer. Such as:
Delden: The Forrest and gardens of the castle Twickel and the Salt museum.
Diepenheim: The castle town with a well known and beloved Art-route.
Goor: De ‘braak’ mill, wooden shoe museum and antiquity museum.
And it’s also very nice to visit the different museums in the surrounding area.
Even the centre parts of the cities that lie around Hengevelde, such as Hengelo en Enschede are completely new. Because there are many comfortable terraces and shopping streets, it will be worth your while to take a look.
Another suggestions for a day out is of course a day abroad and go to Germany. The German border lies within 15 km from our hotel.
