Restaurant, hotel and grand café De Swarte Ruijter is situated close to the nature reserve Holterberg.The Swarte Ruijter is located in a thatched roof villa, that was built in the early nineteenth century. The surprising and modern design is in perfect harmony with this historical building. The restaurant’s chef, Erik de Mönnink, is specialized in classic French cuisine. In the nearby cottages, you will find the ten tastefully decorated hotel rooms that are fitted out with every modern convenience. Each room has large French windows and a private terrace. You can walk into the woods via the herb garden. In the Grand Cafe you can read a magazine or paper or periodical at the large reading table. And when the weather is nice you can dine outside on the large terrace.

The Swarte Ruijter lies in the middle of a nature reserve and borders directly on the walking trail Pieterpad. It is an ideal departure point for walks and cycling routes. Bicycle and walking tours, bicycles and picnic baskets are available at De Swarte Ruijter. The hotel has a secure bicycle place in case you want to bring your own bike.
