Keukenhof

Keukenhof, situated in Lisse, Netherlands, also known as the Garden of Europe, is the world's largest flower garden. Keukenhof is open from the last week of March to mid-May. The flower garden was the idea in 1949 by the then-mayor of Lisse, a small town south of Amsterdam. The idea was to have a flower exhibit where growers from all over the Netherlands and Europe could show off their hybrids. Keukenhof has been the world's largest flower garden that runs throughout spring for over fifty years. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather. It is located between the towns of Hillegom and Lisse, south of Haarlem in South Holland, southwest of Amsterdam, and is accessible by bus and rail.

personeel mag best s wat opgewekter zijn. bedden zijn voor verbetering vatbaar. ze zijn hard en stug.

omgeving van het hotel is niet mooi, maar dichtbij snelwegen en provinciale wegen en dus ook snelle bereikbaarheid van omliggende steden (mits geen filles)

betrekkelijk kleine kamer, weinig zitcomfort, geen temperatuurregeling in de kamer, geen toiletborstel. kamers zijn toe aan renovatie. voor een kort telefoongesprek (plm. 5 minuten) met onze zoon in nieuiwegein betaalden we euro 12,00. ik weet dat bellen in een hotel nogal prijzig kan zijn, maar dit is buiten proportie.

het was lekker rustig. het restaurant was leuk ingedeeld en het ontbijt was lekker.

dat ik toen ik uit bed stapte tegen de muur aan viel. het bed staat te dicht tegen de muur. ook het avondeten vond ik niet zo lekker. misschien iets meer vegetarisch op het menu?
