The best-kept secret of all lies right at the feet of the Beaumont. Wyck, the city quarter of art and architecture, offering antiquarian bookshops and boutiques. The architectural district of Céramique, featuring Jo Coenen's famous Centre Céramique, is close by. Wyck is situated on the dividing line between old and new. From this district, one can take either the 13th century St Servatius Bridge (situated next to the site of the old Roman bridge) or the brand-new, modern 'High Bridge' over the river Meuse to reach the old heart of the city.
