Maastricht, a little bit foreign city within the Netherlands. A lively city, where rich history and modern architecture go hand in hand. Maastricht is the city of pleasant terraces, numerous cafes and restaurants, modern shopping streets, picturesque squares and streets.In this city, the mother of all culinary feasts was born and was called the "Preuvenemint". End August every year the scent of international dishes fill the city, with the Vrijthof as centre point. The "Preuvenemint" is hard to describe, you have to experience it yourself.In the proximity of Maastricht lies Aachen, Liege, Hasselt and Tongeren which you can visit or go relaxing in the Valkenburg "Thermae 2000".
