Space is here key,with lots af space to breathe, such as the 17 kilometre long North Sea beach, and the spacois landscape behind the dunes and dikes. The broad beaches form a haven for sun bathing, swimming, sailing, surfing, diving, an other water sports. The setting on the Oosterschelde and the Grevelingen lake make it a difficult choice: shall it be surfing on the Brouwersdam or professional diving in the fascinating Oosterschelde..... Authentic towns such as Zierikzee and Brouwershaven have retained the charm of the Middle Ages. More than 700 monuments bear silent witness to the prosperity of the past.
