Information about Hotel Tongerlo

Hotel Tongerlo was built at a historical location in the heart of Roosendaal in 2001. You will immediately feel at home in this building which dates from 1898 and has by now been listed as a municipal monument. The first thing that strikes you when coming in is the handmade Empire style Indonesian furniture. You will find this style throughout the hotel in furniture, frames, doors, and skirting-boards. Notice also the beautiful wall painting of the Abbey of Tongerlo in the attractive lounge.

Hotel Tongerlo is established in the centre (at no more than ten minutes on foot from the station) between friendly bars, good restaurants and dozens of beautiful shops. Within walking distance you will find many places and institutions worth seeing, such as the Ghulden Roos museum, the municipal archives, the St. Jan church and the Oude Raadhuis, the old town hall. The next door municipal theatre “De Kring” is a nice suggestion for a full evening’s entertainment. For our business relations the direct connections with Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Moerdijk are of course idea

Checking in
Upon arrival at our hotel you check in at the reception, which is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The receptionist can be contacted by telephone 24 hours a day. We accept Visa as well as Master/Eurocard and American Express, and payments using bank cards with PIN or cash. Furthermore, you will receive your key card here, by means of which you can gain access to your room and you can enter the hotel outside the opening hours of the reception.

Your room
You can enter your room from 15:00 hours. When entering your room you will find the key card reader next to the door. Put your key card in it. This is necessary to activate the power in your room. The standard facilities of your room include a telephone, television with remote control, minibar, safe, and airconditioning. Upon request your room may be provided with an iron and/or trouser press. Please contact the receptionist if you wish to make use of an internet connection for your laptop. The bathroom has a lavatory, bath and shower, blow-drier, socket for your razor and a mirror. When you leave your room and you take the key card out of the reader all power will automatically be switched off, except that of the sockets near the writing table. This is to let you recharge for example your telephone or laptop. You can leave dirty towels and so forth on the floor and they will be replaced. We can also have your own laundry done in one day. You do need to mention this in advance at the reception. If necessary, we can put a baby’s cot in your room for a supplement.

Dinner
You can dine at one of the numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Our staff members will be pleased to let you know the possibilities and they can also make a reservation for you.

Hotel bar
You are welcome in the hotel bar for a cup of coffee with a pastry, or a drink with an appetizer. The bar closes around 23:00 hours.

Breakfast
An extensive breakfast buffet is included in the price of a room and this is ready for you between 07:00 and 10:00 hours on weekdays and between 08:00 and 11:00 hours on weekends.

Checking out
The time to check out is no later than 11:00 hours on weekdays and 12:00 hours on weekends. Possibly after briefly making use of our shoe-cleaning machine you can face the new day feeling fine and dandy.

Your credit card details are required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment will be made exclusively to the hotel. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 1 day(s) before your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.) Any booking not taken up and not cancelled 1 day(s) before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to the price of the first night. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings.
