Our hotel is beautifully situated in the woods. An excellent location to experience nature and culture. The area is popular with everyone, young and old!
Hiking
From De Loohoeve you are surrounded with all beautiful nature area's (national parks as such). De Loohoeve is next to the famous Pieterpad-route (pilgrime passage). Most of our guests walk the route of pilgrime "Pieterpad-route"from Rolde till Sleen.
A little further from the hostel you have the nature areas Mantingerzand en Dwingelerveld.
Nordic Walking and cycling in the province Drenthe can be done on the special routes for these sportive activities.
