Limburg

When people think of Limburg, they usually think of South Limburg, the hilly part of the province. It makes them think of holidays, day trips, natural beauty and peace and quiet. Tourists have been visiting South Limburg for more than a hundred years, and for very good reasons: the lovely countryside, tourist attractions, outstanding hotels and restaurants with a unique regional cuisine all exert a powerful pull.



If you want to do more than simply enjoy the hill country and are keen to explore its history, art and culture, there are plenty of opportunities to do so. You can investigate Roman ruins or magnificent mediaeval castles, both restored and in their original state. Throughout the region you will find many museums that are definitely worth a visit. You can make a tour through the evolution of industry or examine a true-to-life simulation of a coal mine, become acquainted with exotic cultures, wine growing, modern art or regional customs. All these elements are complemented by extensive opportunities for sightseeing in the “Parkstad Limburg” with numerous activities like garden themepark Mondo Verde, Gaia Zoo and SnowWorld.

  • het raam tochte. de badkamer kon je je niet in omkeren zo klein.

  • the room was bland and dull with no ambiance felt like a youth hostel. when we arrived there was a dirty duvet cover in the cupboard and not enough beds made up ( although this was sorted when we contacted reception) it was also round the corner from the hotel(not what we expected) there was no tea/coffee facilities which would have been great especially since we had to go out in the rain to the hotels restaurant
