Enjoy the great 700 hectares of landscape that surrounds Stadskanaal. The Hondsrug hills, the prehistoric Hunebed-monuments, the fortified town of Bourtange, the 17th century monastery in Ter Apel, the Regional Historical Center, the path through the treetops are all at very short distance from the hotel. This also applies to the many hiking and bicycle paths that all start close to the hotel. The nearby German border, the provincial capitals Assen (well known for its yearly TT motorraces) and Groningen are all situated within a half hour cardrive.
