At an idyllic location in the Frisian town of Terherne stands a thatch-roofed farmhouse from the year 1800 called d'Oude Herbergh.
Terherne is widely known as Kameleondorp (Chameleon Village), where the twins Hielke and Sietse Klinkhamer from the famous Dutch Chameleon book series go on exciting maritime adventures in their boat, the Chameleon. It is the perfect location for such adventure, as the village is nearly entirely surrounded by water. The Terherne pools and the Sneekermeer lake are also close by.

The original character of the farmhouse has been kept intact. When renovating, we used only natural materials alternating with modern elements for the interior, creating a relaxing and spacious atmosphere.
