Bicycle tours
There is a total lenght of over 135 km (85 miles) of bicycle road on Texel. You can bring your own bike or rent one at the hotel. It is also possible to rent tandems , mountainbikes, electrical bikes or mopeds (reservation required). You can go out and explore our beautifull island on your own but there are also numerous bicycle routes that will let you get aquainted with a special area that you wish to explore.
Catamaran Sailing
On a sheltered beach at the foot of the lighthouse, we find the roomy De Eilander sailing school. Under the experienced eye of international racing yachtsman you can try the spectacular port of catamaran sailing. Guests can choose from a selection of packages. From a basic trial trip with the intstructor to a week long advanced course. All courses are given by qualified instructors and only the best equipment is used. Of course you can always have a wonderful time just lazing on the lovely beach, but watch out for 'cat fever', otherwise you'll be on the high seas before you know it! .
