The grandfather of the present owner, Harald Droste, started a café situated just outside Tubbergen in 1928. The parents of Harald had taken over the café in 1975. They started to extend the hotel with 10 hotelrooms. In the following years a few little renovations followed.

In 1990 Harald, the oldest son, had taken over the hotel from his parents after working in a several hotels abroad. He made the hotel into hotel a hotel with 20 hotelrooms, a wing with patiorooms and loft rooms. Droste's hotel restaurant has also a “Grand Café”, sun lounge and a modern and stylish restaurant.
Every hotel room offers a typical personal ambience and in addition has a balcony or terrace. Droste's has been voted the "Top hotel" of the year 1998. Thereby our friendly priced offers may be seen as an utmost warming invitation to a hospitable stay

  This culinary pamper package is a weekend to remember. You will arrive on Friday or Saturday and you will stay 3 days and 2 nights. At the first evening we will serve you a 3-course dinner. The second evening we will serve you a gastronomically 5-course dinner. You will start the morning with an extended breakfast. You can fill the rest of the day how you want it yourself. For example you can have a walk, or go by bicycle, or you can go shopping. The little city Ootmarsum, with a couple of galleries is in a few minutes from the hotel. Any booking not taken up and not cancelled 1 day(s) before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to the price of the first night. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings.
