Southern Limburg If you have ever been to Limburg, you will know that it is very untypical of the Netherlands. The dazzlingly beautiful landscape, with its hills and valleys, reminds many people of holidays in Southern Europe. Cool, babbling brooks and delightful tracks and cycle paths can be found everywhere in this area.

The welcoming hills of Southern Limburg include the Vaalserberg – at 321 metres, it is the highest point in the Netherlands. Central Limburg has its green, water-rich Maas Valley, while Northern Limburg has the Peel and expansive woods and heaths.
