Vianen is centrally located in the Netherlands on the crossroads of two main motorways (A2 and A27) and it is also crossed by the “Merwede” canal. Vianen lies within the “Vijfherenlanden” which is part of the “Green heart” of the Netherlands. No less then 168 national monuments are located within the confiends of Vianen among which the historical innercity core of Vianen.
Vianen annually hosts several kinds of events which attracts a large number of visitors from national and international standing. For example the National Tug-boat days which are held each 2 years, the Oldtimer-tour and the Concour Hippique of Hagestein.
