The only village on the island, "Oost-Vlieland", is dominated by the red lighthouse on the Vuurboetsduin, a marvelous lookout point. The façades of the houses in the village remind you of days long gone. Behind them nice shops, bars with pleasant atmospheres and intimate restaurants. Vlieland is a relief!
