Location, location, location! Could walk to so many things--15 minutes to the museums -25 to Ann Frank house -5 minute walk from the red airport bus to hotel. Also staff was efficient and quick to respond to our request for a new room, since the AC was not working in our original room. And really, you just can't find fault with a hotel that looks out over a lovely canal.

Staff very friendly and helpful, great restaurant, right in the middle of everything. Clean as a pin. Only downside was we were on the 3rd floor and there were steep steps - not a problem for us, but older couples might not be able to navigate them.

The hotel is in an excellent location with regards to getting about the city, as it has a tram stop right outside - the tram noise was not a problem. The room that we had was enormous, a corner room with windows on two sides which made it very light and airy even though the weather was dull. It was also kept immaculately clean.The staff were always very cheerful and helpful. Plenty of eateries nearby. Being near the Leidseplein we found that there were still revellers passing outside, noisily, until after 5.00am at the weekend, but other rooms further from this street may not be similarly affected. Breakfast not great for the price, but there is a lovely bakery opposite with delicious croissants, rolls etc which you can buy to eat at the table in your room.

Locatie, locatie, locatie. Mooie mix van historie (pand, ornamenten, kamer meubilair en foto's) en het heden (bar, lounge, faciliteiten). Service en vriendelijkheid personeel. Voor het eerst na ruim 10 jaar (kinderen, kinderen, kinderen) samen een trip langs memory lane. We gaan sparen om nog eens terug te komen. Het piepen van de trams en uitzicht op de Prinsengracht. Het was geweldig, dank voor de gastvrijheid! De monsieur bij het ontbijt was niet echt zijn (vermoedelijk) vrolijke zelf.

Online geboekt en kwamen vroeg aan - alles perfect geregeld. Konden meteen naar de kamer. Had extra bed aangevraagd voor mijn zoontje - en het was er ook. Mooie kamer, alles net zorg en toewijding verzorgd. Well done!! Kamer was erg warm s\'nachts. Maar had blijkbaar de radiator bij het raam niet gezien.

The location is excellent for exploring the city. The hotel interior is very nice: our twin room with balcony was very comfortable and a perfect size for a weekend stay. Although we didn't need it, it was good to see an airconditioning unit in the room. Due to the availability and choice of cafes etc. close by, we ended up not eating in the hotel at all, so, cannot comment on the cuisine. It was good to have a coffee/tea tray in the room. Had there been a more varied choice of breakfast options available (incl. price), or basic breakfast provided in the room we probably would have made use of them. The only small thing to report here was that our bathroom door didn't close but we never got round to reporting it to reception - we just used magazines wedged in the door!

A member of staff refused to supply fresh milk when asked, although another member of staff willingly supplied milk previously. Superb location and well soundproofed from the outside. Large room that was spotlessly clean. Was overpriced but so was everywhere in Amsterdam in June, however, I would expect better tea & coffee facilities in the room at the level the hotel pitches itself. Powdered creamer is not really acceptable. Mind you, that is a pretty minor thing and we'd happily stay again.

Everything! We've stayed here many times & always enjoyed our stay. Can't beat the location Can be a bit noisy at night, especially on the weekend, but that goes with it's location, right in the heart of the action.

Bathroom amenities were very luxurious. Very small elevator.

Great location, nice room. Friendly reception staff. The lady who served breakfast was a bit grumpy / unwelcoming. Breakfast was expensive for what it was. We arrived on a Monday night and no-one told us there would be very few restaurants open.

Such a great location, friendly and very helpful staff and a very comfortable room with a wonderful canal view. Nothing - I would recommend this hotel.
