Kasteel de Bergh

On the edge of the little town of 's-Heerenberg lies the evocative Bergh Castle, in Dutch: Huis Bergh. It is one of The Netherlands' major castles. Hotel Carpe Diem is only at a few minutes distance! The history of the castle and its owners dates back to the Middle Ages. In the course of the centuries the appearance of the castle changed considerably as a result of fires, wars, additions and embellishments. Gradually, the castle changed from a medieval stronghold to a fine manor house. The castle boasts an important, predominantly late-medieval art collection. A visit to our castle is an experience for both children and adults. Huis Bergh offers you a variety of possibilities as diverse as art, culture, education, enjoying refreshments in a pleasant atmosphere, celebrating your wedding (anniversary) and last but not least beautiful grounds and surroundings.
